Duntroon is known to have some top notch Chips and gravy and they make a mean chicken schnitzel. So today for lunch me and a few work mates pile my family mobile and make our pilgrimage to better food. As i see my work mates order their respective schnitzel (One of the guys ordered seafood!!! [he maybe gay]) I spotted what I thought to be a dagwood dog sitting under heat lamps. I look up at the menu and see that they had it listed as a battered sav. Now if you look at the photo and compare it to the Chicko roll (hey i was hungry)its not the biggest of savs. It was also on a stick which made me think was this just mislabeled dagwood dog. Now the Battered was nice and crunchy which i found to be its good qualities. Once i got through the nice crunchy batter the inside of the batter was a bit chewy but my guess is that it was due to the fact that it was already cooked. Now the sav its self was not quite a frank but not exactly a sav. It didn't have the blandness of a frank but didn't have the small spice a good sav should have. A score of seems fair due to the fact of its size. I guess next time I'll stick to the schnitzel.
