This particular sav has quite a lot of history behind it - it's legacy begins at a place called kambah takeaway. This shop won quite a number of "takeaway of the year" awards if my memory serves me correctly. The person who decided to give them the awards must have tasted the savs. They were always crispy on the outside and juicy and flavoursome on teh inside - a delactable snack, and i was never served a sav that i was unhappy with. Times chang however and the shop moved premises to wanniassa and changed it's name to a very yuppi "livingston pizza-cafe" - bah! who wants a sav from a cafe anyway? as the change came the savs seemed to go downhill somewhat. The latest sav i dined on seemed to have a smokey bacon type flavour - not bad, but not what im looking for in a sav. But lately the savs which i purchase seem to be lacking in flavour and the saveloy seems a little dry, and the coating seems a little soggy. None of these problems are massive though, they are al just minor things which could be fixed, and at a meagre $1.80 the price sure is right. When im in teh vecinity i will still visit there, but all the while i will be reminicing to a better time...
